A group of Year 5 children from Featherstone Primary Academy visited their local community centre to help with a project to plant over 150 trees in the area.
A group of Year 5 children from Featherstone Primary Academy visited their local community centre to help with a project to plant over 150 trees in the area.
The children were shown by professionals the planting process, they were then given everything they needed to do it themselves. The Year 5 pupils all enjoyed the event and understood the importance of looking after our local environment and the positive effect trees have on global warming. The school looks forward to forward to working with Mercia Forest in future projects.
